Randomize Survey Questions

Q: Can I still access the legacy Enquete platform and my existing survey data?

Yes. Existing customers can continue accessing the legacy Enquete platform without losing any historical data. All previously created surveys, responses, and exports remain available. A direct link to the legacy login page is provided for uninterrupted business continuity.

Q: Why can’t I log in to my Enquete account?

Login issues are typically caused by an incorrect email/password, an unverified email address, or attempting to log in to the wrong platform (legacy vs. new). If your email is not verified, a “Verify Email” option appears after a failed login attempt so you can confirm your email and activate access. Enterprise users using SSO should follow their organization’s identity provider process.

Q: I can't find my survey / my survey has disappeared. What should I do?

In most cases, the survey was created under a different email address, workspace, or account. Confirm you’re logged into the correct account and organization, and that you’re using the correct platform (legacy vs. new). If you still can’t locate it, contact support for account recovery assistance.

Q: I’ve forgotten my password. How do I reset it?

Use the “Forgot Password” option on the login page. A secure password reset link will be sent to your registered email address. For enterprise accounts using SSO, password changes are managed through your identity provider.

Q: How do I delete my Enquete account?

Log in, go to Account Settings, and select “Delete Account.” Please note that deleting your account permanently removes all surveys and response data. Enterprise customers should contact support first if they have retention or compliance requirements.

Q: Are surveys created in Enquete.com anonymous?

Yes. Surveys are anonymous by default as long as you do not collect identifying information (such as name, email address, phone number, or employee ID) in the survey. Anonymity can change if you send surveys via personalized email invitations or enable response tracking, where responses may be linked to recipients for analytics and follow-up workflows.

Q: Can I show different questions based on how respondents reply?

Yes. Enquete supports survey logic (skip logic and branching), allowing respondents to follow different paths based on their answers. This helps personalize surveys, reduce completion time, and improve response quality.

Q: How do I identify individual respondents?

You can identify respondents by asking for their name/email directly in the survey, or by sending personalized email invitations via Enquete’s email campaign manager. When using email invitations, responses can be linked to recipient email addresses in the individual responses section.

Q: How do I create multilingual surveys?

Create your master survey, duplicate it, and change the survey language in Settings. System messages (such as buttons and default labels) are translated automatically. Your custom questions and answer options must be translated manually to match each language version.

Q: Do you store incomplete survey responses?

Yes. If a respondent leaves before completing the survey, any completed pages are saved as a partial response (depending on your survey pagination). You can filter completed vs. incomplete responses in your reports and exports.

Randomizing survey questions allows you to display questions in a different order for each respondent.

Instead of presenting questions in a fixed sequence, the system automatically shuffles the question order. This means respondents will not see the survey in the same arrangement every time.

Randomizing questions is important when you want to reduce bias and improve data accuracy. When questions appear in a fixed order, earlier questions can influence how respondents answer later ones. This is called order bias.

Randomizing questions helps:

Reduce order bias
Prevent patterned answering
Improve the reliability of results
Make surveys more neutral
Increase fairness in research studies

For example:

If respondents are rating multiple services, seeing one service first every time may influence how they rate the others. Randomizing ensures no single item always appears first.

Important Note:

Question randomization only applies to live surveys for respondents.
You will not see the randomized order when using Preview mode.
Configurations like piping and skip logic will be deactivated.

Step 1: Open the Survey

Go to your dashboard and select the survey you want to edit.

Click Edit to open the Survey Builder.

Step 2: Open Survey Settings

At the top of the Survey Builder, click Settings.

A survey settings dialog box will open on the right-hand side of the screen.

Step 3: Enable Randomization

Scroll down until you find the toggle labeled Randomize Question Order.

Toggle it on.
