How can I Preview my Survey

Previewing your survey allows you to see exactly how respondents will experience it before publishing or distributing it.

This step is essential for reviewing your content, correcting mistakes, testing flow, and ensuring your survey looks professional.

Previewing helps you identify issues early — such as unclear wording, formatting problems, logic errors, or confusing question order — before respondents ever see your survey.

Previewing your survey helps you:

• Ensure logic behaves as expected

• Catch spelling or grammar errors

• Verify question wording

• Confirm answer options are correct

• Test the survey flow

• Check mobile readability

• Identify formatting issues

Method 1: Real-Time Preview (Builder Preview)

Go to your dashboard and select the survey you want to preview.

Click Edit to open the Survey Builder.

You are now inside the editing environment.

Inside the Survey Builder, your screen is divided into two sections:

• On the left-hand side, you will see all your survey questions listed.

• On the right-hand side, you will see the real-time preview.

The real-time preview updates automatically as you make changes.

For example:

• If you edit a question title, the change appears immediately in the preview.

• If you add or remove answer options, the preview updates instantly.

• If you change question types, you can see how the layout changes in real time.

This preview mode is ideal for quickly reviewing and refining your survey while building it.

Method 2: Live Preview (Full Page View)

Click on Open Live Preview on the survey builder menu.

The Live Preview opens your survey as a standalone page with its own URL. In this mode:

• The editing tools are not visible.

• The survey appears exactly as respondents will see it.

• You can navigate through it like a real participant.

After reviewing your survey, you can return to the Survey Builder to make any necessary adjustments.

Once you are satisfied with how your survey looks and functions, you can proceed to publish and distribute it with confidence.
