Schedule your 15-minute demo now

We’ll tailor your demo to your immediate needs and answer all your questions. Get ready to see how it works!

An introduction text appears at the beginning of your survey and provides context to respondents before they start answering questions.

It explains what the survey is about, why it is being conducted, and how the responses will be used.

When respondents understand the purpose of a survey, they are more likely to complete it thoughtfully. Surveys with clear introduction texts often achieve significantly higher response rates because participants feel informed and respected.

For example:

Instead of starting immediately with questions, you can begin with:

“We value your feedback. This short survey will take less than 3 minutes and helps us improve our customer experience.”

That simple context can dramatically improve engagement.

Step 1: Open the Survey

Go to your dashboard and select the survey you want to edit.

Click Edit to open the Survey Builder.

Step 2: Open Introduction Settings

At the top of the Survey Builder, click Intro / Closing.

A panel titled Introduction and Closing will open on the right-hand side of the screen.

Step 3: Enable the Introduction Page

Check the box labeled Enable Introduction Page.

Once enabled, additional input fields will appear.

Step 4: Add the Introduction Title

In the Intro Title field, enter the title of your survey introduction.

This is typically a short heading such as:

  • “Customer Feedback Survey”

  • “Help Us Improve”

  • “We Value Your Opinion”

This title is the first thing respondents will see.

Step 5: Write the Introduction Body

In the Intro Body field, write a brief explanation of your survey.

You should clearly state:

  • What the survey is about

  • Why you are collecting feedback

  • How long it will take

  • How responses will be used

For example:

“This survey takes approximately 2 minutes to complete. Your feedback helps us improve our services and better meet your needs.”

Keep the introduction short, clear, and reassuring.

Step 6: Add an Image (Optional)

Below the text fields, you will see Intro Image / Logo.

Click Choose File to upload an image.

You can add:

  • Your company logo

  • A campaign banner

  • A relevant visual

This helps strengthen branding and create a more professional appearance.

Step 7: Save Your Introduction

Scroll to the bottom of the panel and click Save.

This step is essential. If you do not click Save, your introduction will not be applied to the survey.

Once saved, your introduction page will appear before the first survey question with a button for respondents to click to access the survey.

This ensures they understand the context before answering.
